En este caso hay que decir que la cuenta oficial de Twitter en inglés que tiene el Barcelona fue hackeada tras consumarse el triunfo por 2 a 0 ante el Manchester City, por los Octavos de final de la Champions League.

El mensaje que apareció en la red social fue el siguiente: «Dear FC Barcelona management, don’t let the Qatari money funds you, it’s full of blood and kill, en español: «Apreciados dirigentes del Barcelona. No permitan que el dinero de Catar los financie. Está manchado de sangre y de muerte».

Además quien escribió dicho mensaje mencionó a la cuenta SyrianElectronicArmy (@Official_SEA16), que tuvo como último tweet una dedicación al Real Madrid: «Un especial saludo para el Real Madrid».
